Translation workbench enables you to translate faster with better quality. It features a set of CAT functionalities such as Translation Memory, Glossary, Machine/AI translation, etc., and has a streamlined UI that can help you to increase the translation speed and improve quality.
After assigning a workflow to the Grid, you can open the Translation workbench and start translating your strings. Click towards the top right corner to open the Translation workbench.
The most basic way is to enter a translation to the cell in the target language, and you can use our CAT tools to assist you in translation:
Insert Translation Memory (TM) terms
If you do not want to pre-translate, you can insert TM terms manually, or search for terms using the Concordance search
- Enter a cell, open the Suggestion tab.
- Where there is an associated TM term, it will be shown in this tab. Click on the TM term to insert into the selected cell.
Concordance search
Concordance search allows you to search for TM matches containing the word or phrase. This helps you gain insights into how words are used within specific contexts.
- Open Concordance search, enter the search terms in the search bar.
- Select to search in the Source language or Target language, then click Search.
- (Optional) Select a target cell and click on the search results to apply the text.
Insert glossary terms
A glossary consists of terms. When a term in the source language is detected, it will automatically be highlighted and shown in the suggestion pop-up.
Note
Make sure that you have assigned a Glossary to this Grid. For more details, refer to this article: Glossary
- Open a target cell
- From the Suggestion tab, you'll see the list of glossary and MT terms.
- Click on the Glossary terms to insert into the text.

- Enter your prompt, then click GO!
- Click on the translated results to insert to your selected cell.
Repetitions

- Click next to a segment to deactivate automatic propagation for this section.
Insert tags
Tags are non-translatable text which can be used to represent variables, special formatting, formal names, code, etc. Tags are used to maintain the formatting or internal code (like index entries or cross-references) of the original document, so translators won’t translate them by mistake.
- Click in the upper toolbar of the Grid.
- Click the toggle to Enable Tag detection.
- Choose how you want to detect Tags by selecting the appropriate option. See in Tag detection options.
Spell check translations
Use the built-in spellcheck to detect and correct spelling mistakes in more than 30 languages.
