Learn about Gridly's password requirements and expiration policies to keep your accounts secure. Regular password changes combined with strong passwords help protect your organization's sensitive data from unauthorized access.
Password validity period
Configure your company's password policy to enforce password expiration, helping protect your data by requiring regular password updates.
- From your Gridly dashboard, click the button next to your company name and select Company settings. Select Security from the left-hand side menu
- Under the Password Settings section, click the Setting button next to Set password policy.
- Select the Enable forcible password change policy checkbox.
- Configure the following policies:
- Password validity period: Set how long passwords remain valid before expiring. The minimum period is 1 day. For optimal security, passwords should be changed every 3 months.
- Days before a user is notified that their password will expire: Set when users receive password expiration notifications. For example, setting this to 7 days sends users an email one week before expiration.
- Click Save.
This setting is only available to users with Owner company role. For other users, create a custom role with Manage company security privileges. Learn more in this help document about company roles.
