What is Database?
Databases are the third tier in the Gridly organizational structure. Databases sit within Projects, and can be used to organize a collection of Grids. This section explains how to create, backup and delete Databases.
Click on a Project to view all of the Databases in that Project.
Add a new database

To add a new database, click on the + Add Database icon in the top right of the project area.

A new database will be inserted at the top of the project area. Enter a Database name and press Enter.
To rename a Database, click the menu icon to the right of the Database name, and enter a new name in the grey box.
Backup
To create a backup:

Click the menu icon to the right of the Database you want to backup.

Select Back up, followed by Backup this database.
To view the backup list:

Click the menu icon to the right of the Database you want to backup, select Back up, followed by Go to backup list.

The backup list will be displayed on the right-sidebar.

Use the filter drop-down menu to filter backups by date.
NOTE: This is a view-only list. It is not possible to edit or export backups.
Delete a Database
WARNING: THIS ACTION CANNOT BE UNDONE. WE RECOMMEND EXPORTING ALL GRIDS WITHIN THE DATABASE TO CREATE A BACKUP BEFORE DELETING.
To delete a Database, click the menu icon next to the Database you want to delete, and select Delete.
