General FAQs
What is Gridly?
Gridly is a localization platform that combines CMS, TMS, and CAT capabilities in a single workspace, enabling teams to manage content, translations, and related tasks efficiently. It helps eliminate unnecessary manual work, reduce translation costs, and improve speed and accuracy. With built-in AI/MT support and seamless content and translation management, Gridly keeps localization workflows efficient from end to end.
How do the new CAT and TMS features integrate with the CMS module in Gridly?
The new CAT and TMS features seamlessly integrate with the CMS module in Gridly. You can use CAT to translate content in a more comprehensive editor, where past translations (Translation Memory) and glossary terms can be quickly and accurately reused—all in one place.
Additionally, you can push content from your CMS module to the TMS, efficiently manage translation tasks, and then push it back to the CMS for content management and publishing. Check out the guide here.
Can we integrate Gridly into the game development pipeline?
Totally. You can connect Gridly to the game using our API and add your game assets (audio, strings, etc.). When there are changes to these assets, you can update directly on Gridly without the help of developers. As a result, developers, designers, loc managers, and more can all contribute to the development pipeline.
Can you provide links for the most popular information requests?Of course, here you go:
- Configuring SSO in Gridly
- Gridly Github Repo (Lots of content including Unity and Unreal plugins and Google sheet integration)
- API Documentation
- Unity integration video
- Unreal Engine integration video
- Rovio/Gridly LQA case study (Demonstrating the way they push strings and screenshots, and then updated screenshots into Gridly for LQA review).
What does “total records” mean?
It's the total number of rows in one Grid. If you have 10k rows and delete them all and then upload another 10,000 rows, this will count as 10,000 rows.
